SNAP provides food assistancebenefits aspart of a federal nutrition program to help low-incomehouseholdspurchase food. Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cardsare issuedto receive the SNAP benefits for a household. ColoradoWorks, alsoknown as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF),provides acash benefit to low-income families which includechildren (or apregnancy). The program offers a wide array ofsupports includingongoing cash assistance, help with emergencyexpenses, education,job preparation and employment services. AdultFinancial Programsprovide cash assistance to low-income Coloradoresidents undervarious programs. Old Age Pension (OAP) provides acash benefit tolow-income adults age 60 years or older. Aid to theNeedy Disabled– Colorado Supplement (AND-CS) provides cashassistance to those0-59 years of age who are receiving SSI due to adisability orblindness but are not receiving the full SSI grantamount.
